Your next challenge?

As Senior Software Developer in Völur, you will be a key part of the product and technology development in Azure. A key part of the role is to work with the team developing exciting technology and be part of building a great company.

In Völur you will be able to:

• Be part of internal and external IT projects where you develop new exciting technology.
• Work closely with other team members to improve, develop and implement digital products/technology
• Collaborate closely with business users to ensure their understanding and adoption of the service.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field.
• Ability to identify and develop new technologies
• Passion for agile teamwork and being part of collaborative team culture.
• Strong communication skills, enabling transparency and productivity.

What we are looking for

We are looking for candidates with experience and interest in leading software development, with some of the following skillsets:

• Competence in writing performant and stable code in Python.
• Experience with Azure, Azure Synapse, Azure data factory, Databricks, VS Code
• Familiarity with data processing and warehousing techniques, common data formats
• Understanding of ETL pipeline development using Spark
• Can work independently and take ownership of tasks from start to finish, while also enjoying teamwork.
• Actively strives to learn new things and share knowledge with others.
• Fluent in English.
